Ingredients
200 g Hofstede’s roasted turkey
6 slices Monterey Jack cheese
2 packs Sardis dinner buns
2 large yams
1 jar The Bog cranberry sauce
1 x 2 oz cup Hofstede’s Everything Seasoning
olive oil
salt & pepper
Directions
Preheat your oven to 400°F.
Cut the yams into fries (about ½-inch sticks) and place them in a bowl of cold water for 30 minutes.
Drain the yams and pat them completely dry with a tea towel or paper towel. Transfer to a bowl and toss with a generous drizzle of olive oil, then season with salt and pepper or steak spice to taste. Toss until evenly coated.
Spread the yam fries in a single layer on a baking sheet, making sure they have space between them. Bake for 45–60 minutes, flipping partway through, until tender and golden.
Shortcut: For faster cooking, cut the yams into small bite-sized cubes instead of fries. While the fries are cooking, prepare the sliders. Keeping each pack of dinner buns connected, carefully slice them in half horizontally to create one large top and bottom layer.
Layer the roasted turkey evenly over the bottom buns, followed by a generous spoonful of cranberry sauce and the Monterey Jack cheese. Place the tops back on.
Brush the tops lightly with olive oil and sprinkle generously with Hofstede’s Everything Seasoning.
Place the sliders in the oven for the final 10–15 minutes of the fries’ cooking time, or until the buns are golden and the cheese is melted.
Slice into individual sliders, serve with the yam fries, and enjoy!
