Ingredients
2.5 lbs red potatoes
1 pack Johnston lean ground beef
1 small yellow onion
1 pack The Spice Age BBQ Blend
1 smoked Gruyère cheese chunk
1 jar Strub’s Burger Relish
1 pack Oh Snap Pickles
mayonnaise
olive oil
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Cut the red potatoes into bite-sized cubes and place them in a bowl of cold water while you prep everything else.
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with 3 tbsp burger seasoning. Partway through cooking, dice the onion and add it to the pan. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is softened. Set aside.
Drain the potatoes and pat them dry well. Transfer to a bowl and toss with 2 tbsp BBQ seasoning and a drizzle of olive oil until evenly coated. Spread them out in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Bake for 30–40 minutes, tossing once or twice during cooking, until the potatoes are golden and crispy.
Remove the potatoes from the oven and top evenly with the cooked beef mixture. Grate the smoked Gruyère over top. Return to the oven for 5–10 minutes, until the cheese is melted, then broil on high for 3–5 minutes until bubbly and golden.
While that finishes, make the burger sauce by mixing ½ jar Strub’s Burger Relish with ¼ cup mayo in a small bowl.
Divide the potato and beef mixture into bowls, drizzle with burger sauce, and top with 1–2 pickles.
Optional: Top with shredded lettuce for full burger bowl vibes.
