Ingredients
Apple Pie Filling
- 8 Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped
- 2 heaping tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp A Spice Affair Apple Pie Spice
- 2 tbsp demerara sugar
- ¼ cup water
Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla Chips
- 1 bag La Cocina Thick Cut Tortilla Chips
- 2–3 tbsp honey
- ¼ cup white sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
Directions
Add chopped apples, honey, Apple Pie Spice, Demerara sugar and water to a saucepan.
Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until the apples are softened and tender. Add a little more water if needed to prevent sticking and create a saucy consistency.
Transfer the warm apple pie filling to a serving bowl.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Arrange tortilla chips in a single layer on a baking sheet.
Drizzle the chips with 2–3 tbsp honey.
Mix the white sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle evenly over the chips.
Bake for 10–15 minutes, until the chips are crisp and the cinnamon sugar is fragrant.
Serve the warm apple pie filling alongside the cinnamon sugar tortilla chips, allowing everyone to scoop the filling onto their plate and use the chips to scoop it up.
Top with whipped cream, if desired.
For Nacho-Style Serving: Arrange the chips on a platter and spoon the warm apple pie filling over top. Add whipped cream (and maybe some caramel) and serve immediately, as the apple filling will soften the chips.
Enjoy!
