2 tsp paprika

1 tbsp oregano

2 tsp thyme

1/2 tsp pepper

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup panko

1 egg

2 tbsp fresh dill diced

1/4 cup grated cucumber

1 tbsp lemon zest

Toppings

shredded romaine lettuce

red onion

red pepper rings

tomato (Optional)

feta cheese (Optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Tzatziki Sauce:

  • In a bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, crushed garlic, chopped dill, grated cucumber, and lemon zest.

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

  • Cover and refrigerate the sauce to allow the flavours to meld while you prepare the burgers.

2. Prepare the Burger Patties:

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, minced garlic, dried onion flakes, paprika, oregano, thyme, black pepper, salt, panko breadcrumbs, and egg.

  • Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.

  • Divide the mixture into 5–6 equal portions and shape them into burger patties using your hands or a burger press.

  • Place the patties on a tray lined with parchment paper and flash freeze for 20 minutes to help them hold their shape during cooking.

3. Cook the Burgers:

  • Preheat your BBQ grill to medium-high heat.

  • Place the patties on the grill and cook to your desired level of doneness, flipping once halfway through the cooking time.

  • Once cooked, remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.

4. Assemble the Burgers:

  • Place each cooked burger patty on a bun.

  • Top with a generous spoonful of the homemade tzatziki sauce.

  • Add any additional desired toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, or red onion.

  • Serve alongside roasted lemon wedge fries for a complete meal.
